Mark P. Taylor's career has straddled academia and the worlds of business and policy. One of the most cited financial economists in the world, he began his career as a Foreign Exchange Trader in London, spent several years as an Advisor at the Bank of England and the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC, and worked as a Managing Director of a large global macro-investment fund at BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager. Taylor has taught international economics and finance at Oxford, several other European universities, and New York University's Stern School of Business. His research has been published extensively in academic and practitioner journals, and he is the author of two leading textbooks in economics. Prior to joining Washington University, he was Dean and Professor of Finance at Warwick Business School from 2010 to 2016.
